Series CWW451T (Thermal) details shown, Series CWW451 (Non-Thermal) details are similar. Part numbers with a ‘T’ suffix are thermal series. For non-thermal system, omit the ‘T’ suffix from part numbers.

Features

Series CWW451T is a commercial front glazed window wall or storefront system designed for interior or exterior glazing.Two-piece interlocking vertical mullions are designed to run through for optimum strength. Framing is mechanically buttjointed by installing self-tapping screws through vertical mullions into integral splines extruded within each horizontalsection. Sealant is applied to each butt joint during assembly to protect against water egress and to reduce airinfiltration

System Features

  • Front glazed framing with fill and de-bridge polyurethane thermal break
  • Especially designed to accept 1" insulated glass
  • EPDM reinforced glazing gasket to reduce stretching and shrinkage
  • Available as Exterior Glazed or Interior Glazed (Reference details shown)
  • Shop fabrication and quality control using precision punch die fabrication for screw spline holes
  • Ladder assembly for transporting to job site for quicker installation
  • Continuous full height sill receptor designed to eliminate blind seals and for maximum water control
  • Framing accepts Series 200, 300 and 500 entrance doors

Internal injection molded ABS plastic water deflectors allowing infiltrated water to drain into sill channel as illustrated.



Frame Design Features

Exterior Glazed Head

  • Deep glazing pocket to facilitate glass installation and allowance for manufacturing tolerances
  • Attaches to vertical with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break
  • Allows direct structural anchoring to substrate
  • Interior Hook-type glass stop designed to resist positive and negative wind forces on glass unit
  • EPDM Top Load reinforced anti-stretch wedge glazing gasket used on exterior and interior

Exterior Glazed Horizontal

  • Tubular horizontal attaches to vertical with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break
  • Compression fitting exterior glass stop
  • EPDM Top Load reinforced anti-stretch wedge glazing gasket used on exterior and interior
  • Each end is fitted with WD451 water deflectors providing for excellent water control

Exterior Glazed Sill

  • Low Profile Sill designed to fit into full height subsill pan receptor
  • Sill is structurally attached to subsill pan with non-penetrating fasteners to restrict movement
  • ABS plastic injection molded end dams are positioned at each end of subsill pan
  • Subsill pan receptor is designed to be a flashing tray which guides infiltrated water back to the exterior through a series of Ø ¼” weep holes backed with baffles
  • Subsill pan allows for direct attachment to substrate which eliminates blind seals
  • Sill attaches to vertical with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break

Two Piece Snap Fitting Vertical Mullion

  • Two piece vertical mullions allow for shop assembly and panel installation
  • Vertical members attach to head, horizontal and sill with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Accepts structural steel reinforcement when required in high wind load areas
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break
  • EPDM Top Load reinforced anti-stretch wedge glazing gasket used on exterior and interior

Expansion Mullion

  • Expansion mullions are recommended for on all frame widths exceeding 24’.
  • For elevations having long continuous horizontal runs expansion mullions are required every 20’.
  • Expansion mullion halves attach to horizontals with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break
  • EPDM Top Load reinforced anti-stretch wedge glazing gasket used on exterior and interior

90° External Corner Mullion

  • Two piece snap together corner mullion eliminates unsightly rivets or screws
  • Corner halves attach to head, horizontal and sill with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws
  • Accepts structural steel reinforcement when required in high wind load areas
  • Fill & Debridged polyurethane thermal break
  • EPDM Top Load reinforced anti-stretch wedge glazing gasket used on exterior and interior

90° Internal Corner Mullion

  • Two piece matting corner mullion eliminates unsightly rivets or screws
  • Corner halves attach to head, horizontal and sill with #12 x 1-1/4” PH Square Drive Screws

  • One piece full depth glazing pocket allows for direct attachment to substrate without countersinking fastener

Alternate Wall Jamb

  • Two piece wall jamb using vertical mull with flat filler plate ● Anchor attachment to substrate requires countersinking fastener heads
